The Cuban Pursuit of the American Dream

I was born and raised in South Florida, and my story is a Miami story. My grandparents fled Communist Cuba, sacrificing everything they had for the simple, profound opportunity to build and own. They arrived as refugees and, through grit and sacrifice, built a new life, instilling in my family the values of hard work, faith, and self-determination.

My father followed in their footsteps and became a small business owner himself, showing me firsthand the dedication it takes to build a company from the ground up. I watched him navigate challenges, do right by others, and build a reputation in the community.

A Foundation of Values

This idea of stewardship—of taking care of what you've been given—was the foundation of my upbringing. My family raised me in the Catholic faith, teaching me the importance of service, humility, and keeping your word.

This commitment to integrity and community was formalized when I earned the rank of Eagle Scout with local Troop 457. The Scout Oath—to do my duty to God and my country, to help other people at all times, and to keep myself morally straight—is the code I live by. These experiences shaped me and are the core of my promise to any business owner I partner with: to be a trustworthy steward of their legacy.

The Competence to Succeed

I have spent my career building the skills necessary to lead a company and make it thrive.

  • Operational Leadership: At Google, I led global vendor teams handling over 40,000 cases annually. I designed and implemented automation that cut process handling time by 3x and delivered over $590,000 in savings through rigorous financial audits and process improvements.

  • Strategic Growth: As a summer consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), I developed a 5-year strategic roadmap for a client that was projected to add $2B in new revenue. I did this by interviewing over 50 customers and aligning the company's product, operations, and go-to-market strategy.

  • Academic & Financial Acumen: I am currently an MBA Candidate at Harvard Business School, where I earned First Year Honors (Top 15-20% of my class) and serve as the CFO of the Latino Student Organization. I graduated magna cum laude in Economics from the University of Chicago.

I am not a faceless private equity firm looking to flip your company. I am an individual operator, and my goal is to dedicate 100% of my time to one business.

I am asking for the chance to combine the values I learned in a Miami Catholic household and as an Eagle Scout with the operational and strategic skills I learned at Google, BCG, and HBS.
